We are often asked about the weight of products purchased in bulk.
The general rule is that 1 cubic meter of water would weight 1000kg, therefore depending on the density of the product you are purchasing the weight can change dramatically.
Basically the normal 6 x 4 trailer can only carry 1/2 a cubic meter of any product to be safe ( exception here being mulch which is obviously light weight).
Hopefully that answer helps some people out with visualising weight vs volume questions.
Our small trucks generally can not carry more than 1 and 1/2 cubic meters of sand, soil, pebbles and screening.
